Recently, The Daily Show had a great interview with Newsweek Editor Jon Meacham about how Newsweek was going up for sale after over 30 years with the Washington Post. In the interview, he covers some interesting ground. He said that publishers and print media have been doing daily/weekly/monthly updates in print and then putting the best stuff online — and suggesting reversing that method by updating regularly online, and collecting the best stuff in print for those that want it.

The “America’s Next Great Cartoonist” contest sponsored by the Washington Post originally featured some terms and conditions that many — including Webcomics.com and the Ethics Committee of the National Cartoonists Society — found troubling. They have updated their legal agreement to address many, if not all, of those concerns.
