How To Make WebComics

Webcomics Handbook

Chez Cuckoo

By Torbjørn Lien
Style: color, comic strip, digitally colored, ink-on-paper, webcomic
Genre: Comedy, funny, Humor, humour, slice of life
Language: English
Twitter: @chezcuckoo

Chez Cuckoo is a comic about the lives of very different people managing to live together somehow. It is a comic about friendship, feminism, alcohol, gender, religion, metal-music, everyday disasters and general screw-ups.

Chez Cuckoo started back in January 2000 as a guest strip in the Norwegian Gary Larson’s «Far Side Gallery» comic magazine. The Norwegian title is “Kollektivet”, and in my home country it has been published in several newspapers, and in magazines, books and softcover albums for different publishers over the years.

In 2018 I began publishing Chez Cuckoo for the first time in English, for free on Instagram. Now in August 2019 I created the website Chezcuckoo.com as a central hub for my comic in English.
