FrumphParticipant
Comic Easel already has this ability
http:// bootlegcomix.com /?latest=#
where # is the chapter ID of that chapter you want to go to the latest/last comic in that chapter
you can find the chapter ID in the comic -> chapters section of the wp-admin
it might look like this:
15
9
which the wordwrap isn’t working right so it’s actually 159 sorta thing, just a bug
FrumphParticipant.type-product and .type something else … you can ‘view source’ to get those class names you need to add ..
fyi, the new Easel available on the github has all that fixed css wise
FrumphParticipantIt is and I added it for that reason; however .. i mistakenly added it without realizing that ($content) is passed to the function with the content of the post.
so yeah my mistake of course
FrumphParticipant… your bandage should have been removing $content = ”;
but okay 😉
FrumphParticipantheh sorry
http://dev.frumph.net/comic/test-comic-1/
This is what the image flipper buttons under the comic look like
FrumphParticipant^ you can use the CSS
p.comic-thumbnail-in-home { }
To design how it looks, centered, bordered etc.
FrumphParticipantif (function_exists('ceo_pluginfo')) add_filter('the_content', 'mytheme_insert_comic_into_home_posts'); function mytheme_insert_comic_into_home_posts($content) { global $post; if ((is_home() || is_front_page()) && ($post->post_type == 'comic') && !is_single() && !is_feed() && !post_password_required() && (ceo_pluginfo('thumbnail_size_for_archive') !== 'none')) { $content = ' <p class="comic-thumbnail-in-home">'.ceo_display_comic_thumbnail(ceo_pluginfo('thumbnail_size_for_archive'), $post) . '</p> ' . $content; } return apply_filters('mytheme_insert_comic_into_home_posts', $content); }
This is what you would use IN addition to the justin tadlock code you added

FrumphParticipantThis is neat, but can also be done with Comic Easel by just enabling the multiple-comics with jquery flipper in the comic post editor, you add the featured image then you add additional images via the add media (but don’t add them to the post) and it will display buttons below the comic that will let you flip through the images
March 2, 2014 at 8:40 am in reply to: WordPress ""Media" is up to 10 pages, and sloppy – any plugins for this? #6525FrumphParticipantThere are some plugins that add categories to media which then you can probably sort by those categories; but I would suggest doing that with a custom taxonomy creating a media-category so it doesn’t interfere with anything else..
but otherwise.. wysiwyg with the media library
FrumphParticipantHmm, that Worpress Webcomic plug-in looks intriguing. I’m currently on Easel, but I’m having some trouble with it.
Yeah webcomic is a good plugin to use, however if you ever need any assistance with comic easel – don’t hesitate to ask would be happy to help out.
FrumphParticipantI’m in the process of updating the Easel theme; should be done in a week or two, but yeah .. ComicPress and Easel are basically the same themes just one is a revision ahead of the other at any given time…
FrumphParticipantAre you using appearance -> header for the logo image, or are you using appearance -> customizer -> logo ? if you’re using appearance -> header, disable that and use customizer -> logo instead; then adjust the height and width of the logo for your needs
FrumphParticipantI don’t know if anyone else is having this problem, but I’m finding navigating the website really frustrating. There are so many old posts front loaded on the first page that I’m actually missing all the new stuff Brad is posting.
*adjusted look of the pinned posts so they are not so overwhelming to find the new content
FrumphParticipantI used to run all of my websites off of my home computer 😉 up until about 3 years ago – when I switched from verizon online to time warner cable – time warner doesn’t give out IP’s bleah, and dynamic dns services started going ‘paid’. I would be playing high intensive games, skyrim and such while people were accessing my sites off the same computer – fun fun 😉
FrumphParticipantI use Cirtexhosting, the ‘advanced’ plan personally, it comes out to about 10 bucks a month and I get an average about 20k hits daily on 7 sites without it any issues.
