John C. KirkParticipant
I’m ok with dividing and merging panels – the bit I’m stuck on is how to select/de-select them.
When I go to “Divide frame border equally”, there are 3 options. If I choose “Duplicate Layer” or “Create empty folder” then I get the same results as you, i.e. just the bottom left panel selected. If I choose “Not change” (which I did before) then I get all 16 panels selected; I prefer that option, so that I only have 1 layer.
If I use the “Divide frame border equally”, it’s a bit tedious to then delete the frames that I don’t want:
1. Tap the frame I want to delete. That gets shown in white, while the rest of the page is purple, and no handles.
2. Right-click, then Cut.
3. “Cut with layer. Do you want to proceed?” Yes. That shows the page with a different frame selected, but this time I get handles.
4. Tap the frame I want to delete (again). This frame now gets the handles.
5. Right-click, then Cut.
6. “Do you want to cut frame border folder with layer inside it?” Cut with folder.
7. That panel disappears.Repeat that sequence for each panel in turn (9 in my case).
Anyway, don’t worry about it. This gets the job done for now, and I’ll keep poking around. I’m sure there is an easier way, and I’ll post an update if I figure it out.
John C. KirkParticipantThanks for your reply. For some reason it behaves differently on my machine, either because I’m on a newer version or because I’m using Windows and you’re using a Mac.
After you split the big frame into 16 panels, only the bottom left panel is selected, i.e. that has 4 green squares and 4 yellow triangles. You also have a set of 4 green circles and 1 blue circle surrounding it.
When I do the same thing, every panel is selected. I.e. I have 16 sets of 4 green squares and 4 yellow triangles, with 1 set of 4 green circles and 1 blue circle around the entire page.
I suspect that the answer is in the manual somewhere, but I haven’t waded through all 1000 pages of it yet!

John C. KirkParticipantThank you! That’s a lot more info than I expected, and it’s useful to know.

“Are international creators and patrons able to use Patreon?
Of course!”I’m based in the UK, and I’m already supporting a few people through Patreon, so I can’t see why I’d have any trouble registering as a creator.
