How to work with scanned lineart in Photoshop
![]() |
Colouring under scanned lineart/inks with black lines is relatively easy. Just go to the dropdown menu in Layers and hit Multiply. If there are any artifacts, you can play with sliders in Image -> Adjustments -> Levels to make them disappear.
But what do you do when you need the lineart to be on a transparent layer, as if it were drawn digitally?
That’s easier than you might think.
