Dave Kellett PortraitDave Kellett

Dave’s been a lover of sequential art since those first crayoned comics in the first grade. After a professional start with cartoons in the Los Angeles Times and the San Diego Union-Tribune, in 1998 Dave began creating his Webcomic “Sheldon” (which can be read daily at sheldoncomics.com). Dave holds two Masters degrees in the art and history of the cartoon from the University of California, San Diego, and England’s University of Kent. After working in the UK as a junior archivist at the British Cartoon Archive, Dave returned to the U.S. to begin an 8-year stint at Mattel Toys, becoming a senior creative and toy designer. In late 2006, the readership and income growth from “Sheldon” allowed Dave to step away from the corporate life and make the Webcomic his sole, full-time job.

Currently, there are four “Sheldon” book collections: “Pure Ducky Goodness,” “The Good, The Bad & the Pugly,” “62% More Awesome” and “A Blizzard of Lizards.”
Dave lives in Los Angeles with his far-more-talented wife, Gloria, and can be reached via e-mail at: dave@davekellett.com.
